If you’ve ever seen Crimewatch on BBC and wondered who shoots and directs those videos that re-enact some of the dreadful scenes of crime, Christian Bradshaw is one. Christian is the son of the late Michael Bradshaw (my cousin) and his wife Ann. Christian studied digital filmmaking at The New York Film Academy and The Royal Welsh College.
The work Christian does with Crimewatch is broadcast to millions by the BBC and plays a huge part in the successful fight against crime. One of his recent film shoots was of the former boxer Michael Watson who was subjected to a horrible attempted car-jacking.
As well as filming for Crimewatch Christian works on a range of programmes and commercials as a TV director. He has shot 3 out of the 6 episodes of a series airing at the moment on BBC 1 called SHOP WELL FOR LESS.
Muse
In 2012, at very short notice with friends, he put together a short video to enter a competition that had been set by the rock band Muse for their forthcoming single, Animals. There were thousands of entries and Christian’s came second! An amazing achievement with very little budget or time.
